Boca Raton, FL –
VAS Aero Services, a global leader in aviation logistics and aftermarket services, announced it has contracted with The Boeing Company to acquire four Pratt & Whitney PW4000-94 Phase 3 engines for teardown and distribution of the surplus parts. This deal contributes to additional engine models currently in teardown by VAS for spare parts re-distribution.
The Boeing PW4000-94 Phase 3 engines will be disassembled in the U.S. and parts will be re-certified and marketed through VAS’s worldwide airline operator customer base.
“We proud of our long aftermarket services and distribution partnership with Boeing, for whom over the years we have disassembled more than 30 aircraft,” said VAS CEO Tommy Hughes. “This latest agreement with Boeing for the acquisition and teardown of four PW4000 engines, coupled with additional engine teardown projects already in process, underscores VAS’s position as the leading source worldwide for certified PW4000 surplus serviceable material.”
